Gerry Savage was one of the key figures that bridged the gap from the pioneers such as walker to the modern carpers. He not only was instrumental in developing winter carp fishing, but was heavily involved in the developments of baits fishing with Fred Wilton. He also chaired a long running radio show on BBC local radio in the London area as well.
AH are really glad to be able to preserve such material including his scrapbooks, photograph album and slides, logbooks, some key recordings and his trophies.
We will be further researching this material and would welcome help from anybody who thinks that they may have information that could be of use. We would be glad to hear from you.
Please also don't forget that we are preserving this for reference in the future, so if you would like to view any items that are in the archives, please feel free to contact us through the website.
