Hugh Falkus Rod and ephemera - 06/05/14

Bill Arnold, a friend who helped Hugh Falkus and his family in their latter years has donated a wealth of ephemera for AH to scan and preserve for future generations including letters, articles documents plus the white Bruce and Walker Hexagraph rod that was made specifically for Hugh to help show up casting techniques for clients and films.

In addition, he donated the replica "Dame Juliana" rod made for Hugh and Fred Buller which was featured in their book on the subject together with a more usable lighter, smaller model. 

This collection is probably the largest collection of historic documentation that we have been donated to date, and on such an iconic angling figure. Items will appear on the website in the medium term but there is probably six months scanning alone to archive the papers. A fantastic collection.
